It’s near the end of the year and you’re probably getting ready for the holidays. Here are some ways to stay away from overindulging during the Christmas meals and New Year’s Eve party.
Tips
- Start a friendly competition with a friend or a co-worker – if they would like to work out with you and use a challenge. Agree on a prize that you both want.
- Give away the extra sweets – when you receive another box of cookies or chocolate and you already have lots of them just give them away.
- Drink a glass of water with lemon each morning – your body will appreciate that, trust me.
- Eat veggies first – this way your stomach will have less space for other foods higher in calories.
- Don’t eat alone – avoid the situation when you’re alone around the snack table and have no more than one dessert a day.
- Do some exercise – I don’t mean your regular workouts. Anything is better than nothing, switch to maintenance mode. Only eating is not a good thing.
- Be optimistic – don’t think that you will gain a lot of weight during this holiday. Think positively about yourself and you can remain fit, strong and in control of your life.
I hope these tips will help you this holiday and just remember it`s ok to enjoy some holiday sweets and treats as long as you don’t exaggerate, your body is not an endless bag.
In conclusion, you are not alone – everyone is being tempted right now by holiday treats and it’s a great way to test your mental strength.
